- VGC - down goes Beardsley after a challenge from Ince, and the referee puts the whistle to his lips..... is it a penalty? This was the 4th round Littlewoods Cup game, won 4-1 by West Ham, and the Liverpool goal was an Aldridge penalty - so this could be that moment. Not that it made much difference in the end, and Ince in fact scored twice to more than redeem himself.
