- VGC - coach Colin Meldrum on his way out of York destined for a brief player-managerial role at Workington. Started at Arsenal, moved to Watford for a couple of years but then had a long stint at Reading playing 266 games at full back, and then joined Cambridge on their election to the Football League in 1970. After a year or so there, the coaching started at Hillingdon before moving to Bootham in 1972.
