Searching for Years – Options
- SPECIFIC YEARS
- From Year – you select the year that you want
- To Year – matches the From year unless you overwrite it to another year
- A RANGE OF YEARS
- From Year – you select the year that you want to start searching
- To Year – you select the year that you want to stop searching
- DECADES
- Tick the SHOW DECADE box.
- From Year – you select the start of a decade, e.g. 1960, 1970, etc.
- To Year – you select the last decade that you need, e.g. 1970, 1980, etc.
- The search will find everything from the start of the first decade you choose, to the end of the last decade you choose.
Using “AND/OR” for attributes
The AND/OR checkbox gives you the option of searching for more than one club or player at the same time.
However, the “OR” function enables you to search for BOTH teams and players in SEPARATE photos.
The “AND” option would restrict your search to photos in which BOTH clubs or players appear in the SAME photo.
This checkbox defaults to the “OR” option as we feel that gives you more flexibility.
Tags
Previously these were buried within the Player Name search. Now they have their own separate search function on the front page.
What’s a tag? Well, it enables me to highlight something special or unusual about a photo, such as “Penalty”, or “Referee”. And it also enables me to show “Teamgroups” and “Postcards” so anyone looking for those can find them by selecting either (or both) of those in that field. And that's where the "NEW" photos are highlighted.
